Groups Commentary
Commenting on group technologies and services across the webAbout
This blog focuses on the phenomenon of virtual group activity. On the web it is so easy to share ideas with like minded people, and no where is that embodied more than in group life. Amazingly much of the technology is provided for free, and also amazingly much of this activity is managed for free.
And so I want to loook at how and why groups operate, whether they do it successfully and watch for new grouping forms. This is a challenge because this world is so big. At one point the largest kind of Internet activity was email, and groups used such messaging as their mode of operation. Not only is the traffic huge but also the diverse forms of group activity is breathtaking.
Enjoy the ride.
